Meet Aaron Marcus

Founder & CEO, Marcus Collective

16+ years in education. A commitment to strengthening the support surrounding K–5 students.

A Career Rooted in Education

With more than 16 years of experience in education, Aaron Marcus has dedicated his career to helping create stronger educational experiences for children, families, and the communities that support them.

His journey in education has taken him from the classroom to school leadership, including roles as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Along the way, Aaron gained firsthand insight into the challenges students and families can face when foundational learning needs are not fully addressed—and the importance of having the right people, resources, and support systems in place to help children thrive.

A Philosophy Built Around Support

Aaron believes that meaningful academic success begins with meeting families where they are and equipping the adults and programs surrounding children with practical, accessible tools they can use. Through Marcus Collective, he brings his educational experience and student-centered perspective to Family Workshops and Afterschool Program Support, helping strengthen the support systems surrounding K–5 students beyond the traditional school day.

His work emphasizes the importance of early education, family engagement, and intentional support during the foundational K–5 years. Aaron is particularly passionate about ensuring that students are not simply moved forward academically, but are given the opportunity to truly understand, grow, and succeed.

Experience & Expertise

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Morehouse College and a Master's degree in General/Special Education and Teaching from Touro University. He also holds certifications in Special Education and Childhood Education for Grades 1–6, as well as an Early Childhood Certification.
